5 Best Amazon Influencer Courses – [Reviewed & Compared 2023]

Disclaimer: If you choose to purchase via my link, I may receive a small commission which helps me keep this blog running.

It’s been almost 6 months since I got started with the Amazon Influencer program. It’s still paying me a very healthy monthly profit each month and it’s still one of the best method options for making passive income online. I’m also happy to report that Amazon continues improving the program month after month.

I get a lot of questions about how to get started with the program, what products to review, how to start live streaming, what camera gear to use, and what course I recommend for people looking to get started.

So I thought I’d put together a list of all the best Amazon Influencer program courses available in 2023 and which one I personally recommend – depending on where you’re at with Influencer marketing.

Also, it’s worth reading right to the end of the blog because there’s some shaddy tactics happening that I strongly recommend you stay clear of.

Let’s go!

Although the Influencer program doesn’t really vary that much from country to country, having an expert based in Canada is a great option. Do you need a course to be successful with the Amazon Influencer Program?

This is a great question because if you’re already an influencer – do you even need someone to show you to make money with the program? 🤔

I would say Yes. Even if you’ve been an influencer for a while, Amazon’s program has a few nuances that can make a huge difference in how much money you actually make.

It’s worth taking a course (even a basic one) to find out the best practices for uploading, tagging, and making money with Amazon. Sure, you can go at it alone and try and work it out, but I can tell you from experience – learning from an Expert made a huge difference to my earning potential.

How many followers do you need to get into the program?

I spoke about this in my original post on the program, but the amount of followers you need seems to vary. I’ve heard of people with 300 followers getting accepted, and then other people with 15k followers getting rejected.

Here’s what I do know right now: If you have a YouTube account thats getting views, engagement and good watch time, use that account instead of Facebook/Tik Tok or Instagram. 500-1000 follows should be enough to get you approved.

Luke

I think Amazon’s integration with YouTube seems to let more influencers into the platform. Personally, I had a smaller YT account, and when I applied I was accepted within a few minutes. So, even if you have more followers on Instagram, try connecting with YT first. Seems to have a better outcome for some reason.

After You Get Accepted How Long Until Your First 3 Videos Are Approved For Onsite?

After I got approved into the program, Amazon asked me to upload 3 videos before they’ll allow me to start making income. This process took me about 4 weeks. It was a painful wait!

My suggestion to you is to read their terms of service BEFORE you submit your videos. Don’t submit videos where you talk about ‘subscribing to your youtube channel’ or anything that mentions a competitor platform.

You want to produce clear, concise, unbiased video reviews that are helpful and not super salesy. Just your honest thoughts and opinions on a product you own and enjoy using. That’s it.

Can you make an Amazon Storefront without being in the Influencer Program?

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, Amazon storefronts are only available to Influencers who have been accepted into the program. Once accepted, you will get the ability to create a new amazon.com/store/YOURNAME storefront.

Once you have a storefront setup, you can see all of your videos, photos and live streams in one spot making it really easy to share your content with brands.

❌ IMPORTANT: Avoid this Product Review Strategy

One thing I STRONGLY recommend if you’re looking at any of the courses mentioned above is to avoid crappy product review videos in walmart or big name stores. I’ve seen a number of gurus selling $99 PDF’s about “making $1000 a day” that recommend you go into stores, hold the product, take a 30-second video of it, and call it a product review.

That’s not a product review.

Any video you make for the Influencer Program needs to adhere to Amazon’s terms of service – so if you don’t actually own the product, don’t make a video of it 😄

Sure, there are people out there using this method to make money right now – but that bubble will eventually burst and those people will get removed from the program. (I’ve already seen it happening)

Do the right thing, following Amazon’s guidelines, make quality videos and you’ll be successful.

Remember, if it seems too good to be true… It probably is!

Nuff said!

Camera Gear I Use For My Amazon Influencer Store

Improving your video quality is a big part of getting more brand partnerships and longer view time on your video content.

The Best Online Bank I Use To Receive Money from Amazon Influencer Program

Okay, this is a shameless plug because I really love this piece of software. I use an app on my phone (they have a great web interface too) called Wise. It gives you a free international account and they have very low fees to receive income anywhere in the world.

If you’re travelling, work outside the US or want a free US account Wise (previously TransferWise.com) is the best option I’ve used. The app is so easy to use and you can instantly transfer cash from your Wise account to your actual bank, PLUS, you can even add a digital card to your Apple Pay/Google Gpay account.

I personally use the digital card every day for bills, buy coffee and pick up new Amazon products to review. It’s an awesome option thats super easy to use, costs nothing to get setup with and has really fast transfer times.

Get Wise here.

What I’ve Found from 6 Months on the Program

If you’re really serious about making the Influencer program work for you, my suggestion is to pick up a course, learn what others are doing, and then start making videos as quickly as possible.

Don’t worry if your content isn’t perfect.

Just find products you can review, make the video easy to consume, and have fun. Remember that people buy from other people – so make your content relatable! It’s that simple.
